It’s the first day of March! I don’t generally celebrate the start of a new month, but March is special. It’s a signal that spring is near – we’ve made it through the worst of winter although that’s not to say we won’t get anymore snow.

It’s also a month of celebrations. My birthday, friend’s birthdays, cousin’s birthdays… lots of birthday celebrations. And St. Patrick’s Day – my favorite holiday of the year. And this year, Easter closes out the month. And then there’s all the new spring styles. There’s so much to look forward to this month!

I also hope to make some fun updates to the blog this month. There’s now a Facebook page and the new ‘Ask Courtney’ tab under ‘Etiquette’ at the top of the page. As the social season approaches, submit your etiquette questions. I’ll do the research for you and you can swing through any situation with stand-out social grace!

I hope you find many things to look forward to this month. The March slogan in the 2012-2013 Lilly Pulitzer agenda sums things up perfectly for me. There will be champagne to sip, Irish songs to sing and plenty of new dresses to swing into spring.
